If you know someone who did not file taxes in 2018 or 2019 because of whatever, make sure they know to file NOW so they can get a check.
with the new stimulus bill that will be signed today all the poor waitresses and other people who have been laid off will get all their back wages and the bonus, $1,200 per adult. No need to run out and give them all your stimulus money as well. The unemployment benefits will be what your actual wage was.
I'm going to hold onto mine, because as of now I'm employed full time as usual, but who knows what is going to happen in a month. If I make it after that, you better believe I'm going to be dispensing it to those places I normally frequent and giving them all a nice bonus on check out.
If and when I get anything I'll put it in savings until I see a valid use for it. Heard yesterday self employed people wont be getting anything. Dont really care. I work everyday. Its sort of a + for me that this is happening now. Being in the HVAC business this is my normally slow time of the year
Ordering everything in. First, don't wanna get sick, of course. Second, DELIVERY PEOPLE and restaurants NEED THEIR JOBS and INCOME! A few dollars will not hurt me that much, but will help them actually PAY THE RENT and so forth. As for the "check" we will get eventually, I will probably need much of it as I am on a low fixed income and my little job with the Census lasted one week before it was postponed. We will get these checks sometime in April they say. IF you filed and had a direct deposit refund, the money will simply be forwarded to that same account. Ashamed and embarrassed that one of our "senators" who is richer than God, of course, is livid that SOME FEW PEOPLE might get a few dollars more in unemployment (which he decimated in Florida when he was governor and it has not recovered) than they earn at their jobs. Gee, $600/week is $31,000 a year. I guess that is more than he thinks working people are "entitled" to. Wonder how that final conversation will go for him with his Savior? Rant over. STAY HEALTHY! Cheers!
