I wouldn't be counting those chickens to soon lol. I'll believe it, if/when I see it in my hand. If/when I see it I will make a decision then of what to do with it. Meanwhile life continues on.

I was thinking along the same lines. My daughter is a server and so far her place of business is still up and running in rural Suwanee County

Our daughter who is 19 and works one full time and 2 part time jobs, volunteered to be laid off her main job (she still lives at home with us) she told us there were workers with rent, mortgages & children that needed the money more.
We were very proud of her : )

That's a great idea. Unfortunately for people like me, all the bars and restaurants are closed. Some have curb service but I doubt most of the bartenders/wait staff are working.

Unless the guidelines changed a lot of us will not be getting checks but can still help.

What is the cut-off point as far a salary for whether you get a check or not? And do people on Social Security Disability get one?

All our restaurants in Alabama are delivery or to-go orders only. And we have been supporting them, especially the Mom & Pop restaurants that may not have as deep of pockets as some of the big chain restaurants.

We ordered local “to go” food all weekend and again today. Not much action out there.

If my wife read it correctly the amount is based on your 2018 income,so in the case of our daughter who just turned 19 & has been working like crazy she will not be getting anything because she was still in school regardless of whether she hit the ground running as soon as she was out of school. We also co-signed for her dance studio that is "supposed" to open its doors in May.
My wife and I will also get nothing based on 2018 because even though I am on disability that is the year the family business was sold that I did not receive pay from (even when I worked there lol why I left!) anyhow the building & equipment sold for enough that now we also get zippo. Been in worse financial situations when wife had Stage III breast cancer(and in lymph nodes) & 3 young children & God brought us through all that so leaning on faith again and that's okay with me : )

Would be nice if some of these factories that build car interiors came up with the offer to sew masks. I used to deal with a GM plant that had almost 2,000 production sewing machines. Very easy to set to make masks.
