Just bought my second '60 Buick LeSabre in March. Bought it off the Las Vegas CL. One rust area behind the driver's door on the quarter. Still has some red oxide primer here and there underneath! The car sat for a long, long time. It had 2 new freeze plugs in it when I bought it, and a radiator full of Barrs Leak. Two more started leaking when I started driving it. Now one of the head gaskets has rusted out, and I've probably been driving around with a half gallon of anti freeze in the crank case for three weeks. Any way, I'm going to take the engine to a machine shop, have them open it up. I for sure want the block boiled out. Depending what they find, I may end up with a complete rebuild. I joined the forum to get as much Nailhead info as I could. It's a 364 with the original Carter 4 barrel, and dual exhaust. I might want to detune it so I can run regular gas, and less of it. I'm not going racing. So, I'm looking for the best rebuild kit, and any other tricks that will help. Thanks for the add!
