Hello everybody been awhile...I got 72 skylark with 350 my mechanic had oil pan off and had to resend it for powder coat again since it came back in wrong color and when torquing bolts down to spec the oil pan crushes the gasket and oil pan seems to indent as well. Any ideas ?? Is it possible maybe the old stock oil pan has been compromised with powder coating if that's even possible. Been looking around online no look finding a replacement pan for it either. Need you guys help on this one.

    Thx

I would never slick finish an oil pain with a chrome or power coating because it increases the risk of leakage.

You can probably get a custom aluminum pan from steve reynolds . But as for pan crushing alittle when being tightened is normal. You could try to make some kind of load spreading hold down.
