Last Saturday morning, I met with "Badgerman" (Robert) and "RGR Mendez 275" (Jorge) for breakfast and fun with our big Buicks. Here is our trio of Buicks, parked in front of Tacoma's old city hall: Jorge's 1965 Buick Electra 225 -- a fine original car, recently acquired from the original owner family, deleivered new by Armstrong Buick in Gladstone, Oregon Robert's 1967 Buick Wildcat Custom -- another fine original, recently acquired, delivered new by Gilchrist Buick in Tacoma, Washington My 1971 Buick Centurion -- delivered new to my parents by Royal Moore Buick in Hillsboro, Oregon Jorge's '65 Electra 225 is finished in Shell Beige with Sahara Mist roof and the Custom level interior trim. We shot a few photos in front of Tacoma's "Spanish Steps" alongside the former Elks Temple building: The car's original interior requires only a little re-stitching and a new headliner to be nearly perfect! Those who are able to attend the upcoming Buick National Meet in Portland will enjoy the opportunity to meet Jorge and see his beautiful Electra 225! Parked in front of the conservatory in Wright Park, Robert's '67 Wildcat is desirably optioned, including bucket seats, operating console, cornering lamps, power windows, power antenna, chrome-plated road wheels, etc. We shot a few photos on Broadway, in the heart of Tacoma's original "auto row". Looking forward to many more adventures during the years ahead with Jorge, Robert, and the Buicks!
Brian, Thanks for posting these pics here. It was a great and fun day indeed! Looking forward to the next journey. Let's not forget the fact that you learned next time to order only one pancake....LOL :TU: Badgerman
Robert, yes, I learned my lesson on the pancakes. My wife has already made our reservation at Carr's for Father's Day!
All beautiful Buicks. Somehow I have a weak spot for the 65 Electra. The original owners got lucky to sell it to a Buick aficionado :TU: .
All three cars are beautiful. The one shot of the Electra at the bottom of the stairs looks like a factory promo! I love the colors. Patrick
