Would a disc brake setup off a 68 Camaro be the same as Skylark/Chevelle?

    Just as the title says. A friend has a complete disc brake set up that he's willing to give me. Wondering if it would work on my 70 GS?

    Thanks!

    68 and 70 disc brake parts are different. F body and A body parts interchange. In plain language a 68 Camaro and a 68 GS use the same calipers, but a 70 GS and Camaro is different( difference being early disc used 4 piston calipers and beginning in 69 all went to single piston). The spindles will fit from a 68 Camaro on a 70 GS. The rotors are the same on 68 Camaro and 70 GS. So really it would mostly if not all fit from the Camaro and the GS even though it wouldn't be correct for the 70. If your bud has a factory 68 Camaro setup some things would be different than 70 GS but would still fit. If the Camaro setup was an aftermarket single piston disc changeover it would be the same changeover as a 70 GS. Some small parts may be different, not sure, hose brackets, hoses etc., but the big hard to find stuff is the same.
    The Camaro is a rear steer and the GS is a front steer, but the steering arm just bolts to the spindle so that doesn't matter, spindles will still interchange and are not specific to one side, right and left are the same.
    Read this guys description on his disc changeover auction;

    Thanks for the info. :TU: I'll think I'll just to get a setup off an A body though.
