This is a repro 15" wood steering wheel with a contemporary tri-shield horn button. Excellent condition-no cracks- comes with adapter kit. Buyer to pay shipping. Wheel is in Michigan asking $175.
Man I like wood steering wheels.....put me in line please pending a little more info on the adapter kit....what is it for?..will it bolt right up to a sport wheel hub?..thanks Chris
I believe it will....I had it on my '68 (full size car) and it fit fine. Here is a pic of what is included in the adapter kit....I think I still have the instructions for it.
Not in line, but i have a similar wheel im putting in my car. Just curious where you got that horn button. Fits really nice with the whole look.
Looks like the ones from OPG . . . I was looking at the ones on their site, and they have 2 listed, with identical pictures, but one says "telescoping wheel". Can someone explain the difference between the standard one and the "telecoping wheel" one? (other than the $80 price difference) EDIT: If I wasn't an idiot, I would've selected the right application. I'm just gonna buy a new one.
I just got a wheel that looks just like that from Summit: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GRT-967/ Installation kit for a 65 skylark: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GRT-4181/?rtype=10 Buick horn button: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GRT-5631/
Ive seen thoes same wheels on ebay for 180 with your choice of emblims on the horn button. Tri Shield or the "R" for Riviera
part #967-0 is the plain center button and a few bucks cheaper . unless you'd like to sacrifice the chevy button to the gods . maybe flip for an ashtray - down at your local crackhouse . del
