My Father's 72 GS (Stg 1) pictured in my avatar came with black interior. This picture was taken around 1977.
Been thinking the same thing myself. And who would want a Z28 Camaro without a 4 speed? What fun would that be?
Because back then only Gansters drove a black car......that's really why, I have asked that Q for years because you would think it would have been a basic colour but its far from that, actually when I see a Black anything from 1965- 1975 I right away think what colour it was originally because chances are it wasn't black...…..
