    Hi guys

As some of you know I am building myself a motorcycle using a buick/rover 215.
Im wondering if I can get away with not using a battery at all.

I'll be kicking the engine over so no starter is involved but I need lighting as it will be street driven.
How is this possible? will I need a capacitor to keep the lights from flickering at low rpm? or bursting bulbs at high rpm?

Ive started the engine a couple of times by hand when the battery was not strong enough to turn the engine over but it probably had enough juice to charge the ignition coil, making it alot easier.

What do you guys think,, Is this possible?????

an electrolytic cap in parallel with the lights and a coil in series would certainly help smooth out the supply voltage and stop any spikes.
