Most all of the big Buicks look sweet with the skirts on, but I'm not sure i can make up my mind ....
Wow that's a beautiful 68 and the Lesabre moldings look great, I'm going to have to keep my eyes out for a set. Without the skirts give em a more muscle car look.
I picked the car up last fall, it has low mileage , but as everyone knows there is always plenty to keep you busy. Over the winter I dropped the tank and did a fuel sending unit, replaced the convertible top motor and most recently added a 2 1/4 dual exhaust and the road wheels. Over the summer i plan on going through the suspension and installing a nice set of gauges. Ultimate goal is to get it running well with all of the stock components and at some point look to make some performance mods. How is yours set up, those thick back tires look nice !!
Without the skirts the car looks unfinished. Skirts make the car lower, longer and sleek! I say keep them!:TU:
Just got my 68 Cat out of hibernation... had the skirts off during the winter, but now they're on the car looks complete again. So I vote with skirts
That is one nice looking Wildcat you have there! I vote to leave the skirts on, it gives the car that low, lean look it was designed to haveā¦..especially with the top down. But if you do choose to removed them, a pair of rear wheel well moldings that match the fronts are a must to finish it off. <o></o>
I think the '67-'68 Wildcats look great either way. Unlike some other cars, they don't look like there are parts are missing when they are removed.
Since the '67 and '68 Wildcats were all originally equipped with the skirts, that's how I remember seeing these cars. Without the skirts, these Wildcats look naked. Keep the skirts on!
I think it looks better with the skirts. I share Brian's reasoning. My 67 sure looks nekkid without it's skirts!
I have always been a big skirt fan. BUT, in this case I like it without. It shows off the wheels and raised white letters better and looks more hotrod. If you just had blackwalls and hubcaps I would prefere with for the low classic look.
I think that the skirts go best with the fastback roof line of the 2dr cars and can go either way with the less sloped converts and 4dr cars
My car looks terrible without skirts. The Electras are unfinised under those skirts plus it breaks up the chrome belt line without them.
