Sounds like time for a pump rebuild kit. Very easy job, 1 hour at most.
Go to any of the popular suppliers & order a kit. $15-20 max..
Kit consists of new diaphragms. 4-1/4' head screws & you are done.

If the above doesn't work, then you should actually check the pump itself off the wiper motor. Sometimes the cam breaks off and then there's nothing there to drive the pump. This was a common complaint on those systems, the cam would either break, or it it would stick and break in the "on" position and constantly ejaculate. It's all cheap plastic that doesn't respond well to age or colder weather, and/or the driver constantly hammering the washer button to try and get more on the windshield. This job involves a bit more time, a little care must be exercised when lining up the new pump (otherwise you could break the cam, it's that flimsy) the whole pump assembly should still be available as they were pretty much standard throughout the whole GM line until they were discontinued in the late 80s.

I just replaced the washer pump on my Lesabre this summer. Once I had installed the new pump I still had to prime the system to get it to work... which made me wonder if the old one was still operational but had lost it's prime due to infrequent usage. Regardless, as stated, the replacement is about $20.

To prime the system I used a 12cc syringe filled with washer fluid. I disconnected the main feeder hose and injected washer fluid into the intake nipple until it came out the spray nozzles. Reconnected the main feed hose and it has been working flawlessly.:TU:

I had the same issue, got info from here as to how to pull apart and what to fix, but to no avail. I installed a new, after market pump and bypassed the old, utilising the original wiring. Cheap, around $20.
