Wiper Motor and Washer Pump Don't Match

I got this rebuilt wiper motor for my 71 GS from Rock Auto, and was going to use the washer pump from the old, dead motor, but as is obvious from the photo a washer pump that fits the rebuilt motor would have to accommodate the electrical tangs. I called Rock Auto and they insisted the motor they sent me is the correct one for the car. The old wiper motor was supposed to be the original in the car, but it was in a box with other parts when I got the car so I can't confirm that. Wondering if anyone can tell what's what from looking at the motor and pump, so I can figure out what's the best thing to do.
    Thanks.

Wrong wiper motor. The one they sent you is out if a late 70's car.

Thanks, Jason. I was sure it was the wrong motor. Maybe whoever filled the order read 1971 as 1977. Now I just have to convince Rock Auto and send it back and wait for the right one.

Why is this such a familiar story? Over the course of restoring my car I've had to return about a half dozen parts that were wrong, and I'm not even done.

I talked to Rock Auto again and they still don't have a clue, but agreed to take the wiper motor back for a refund. Because I need it right away, I called my local O'Reilly's and they've got a Cardone unit in stock, even though I really wanted the AC Delco. But the question arose as to whether the old washer pump I'm going to use is demand or non-demand. Since I never saw it operate, I don't know, and am wondering how to tell by looking at the pump itself, or the old wiper motor.
