I believe there are subtle differences in the Winters cast valve covers depending on the year of car they were used on. Thus I suspect that there were different part numbers. Can some one please provide me with the correct part numbers for the '64, '65 and '66 valve covers. Also if not too much trouble give me a brief ideas as to what the differences were for the various years. Thanks for the help.
My '72 parts book lists the following: 64-65 425 Eng. (2-4 Bbl.) 1366222 RH 64-65 425 Eng. (2-4 Bbl.) Less Ck/case Vent.-Closed Circuit 1370315 LH 66 425 Eng. (2-4 Bbl.) 1377933 LH Safe to assume part number 1366222 was carried over into the 1966 model year even though the book says otherwise(?) Devon
Hi, Not sure on part numbers but 64/65 differ from 66's 64/65 pvc is vertical 66 pvc is angled and other cover is dimpled to clear air system on CA cars Was told the PVC angle was added to clear dual quad set-ups this also I believe holds true for the stamped steel covers as well Jim
I believe the straight up pcv valve hole is for 2x4 setups, and the the one angled towards the back of the engine is for a single four barrel engine. My memory says the pcv hose connects under the front carb on 2x4 engines and hence the straight up is a more direct angle. I could be wrong on this......
