So I decided to take care of a few door panel issues and the rubber felt window trim piece on the 71 Convertible almost broke off in my hand, real dry and non ply able and looks like they were assembled to the door with staples. I want to make sure that I am ordering the right part, any feedback on if these are correct and are they a good fit ,mounting clips look a bit different? Thanks https://www.opgi.com/gaskets-seals/...ertible-original-style-4pc-outer-s240824.html
If you want the best most original, use Steele Rubber Products. There double the price but worth it. My .2 cents. Gary
Use either repops or PUI. https://www.ebay.com/itm/70-71-72-C...441857&hash=item3b3e036125:g:bxsAAOSwMgdZ5RSk
Purchased mine from ss396 a few yeas ago and fit like glove. Recommended by a member on this board. Did have to redrill a couple holes because the rear quarters had been replaced many years ago.
I have used the outer felts from ss396 and they are great...haven't used the inners though. I just bought a set from Legendary...will see how they fit.
Would like to install the rubber weatherstrip found on 69 70 skylar k hardtop but retrofit them into a 68 hardtop with chrome moulding below all Windows. Been a while since I replaced on a 68 convertible. But don't want fuzzie I believe I had to remove chrome lip on fuzzy for ragtop+ window moulding. I am looking for someone who has installed the weatherstrip per 70 instead of the 68 fuzzy style.
