Any updates??? Any luck??? I too went through this last summer when I replaced my scratched door glass and crumbling top weatherstrip.... '73 CENTURION is right.... go through the steps and you might save SOME trouble.... I discovered my drivers side top cable was broken right away--- made any more adjustments impossible until replaced......

The trouble with having a glass shop do it is this: can they adjust the top as well??? I had to go back and adjust the top again when aligning the front and rear side glass (more a matter of learning what the correct adjustment was) but would you be paying labor for them to learn this too??? Just something to think about.

Also, look at the grooved plates back in the well where you make your top adjustment... one of mine was worn down from the adj. bolt being too loose and sliding down to the bottom of the slot--- I had to file the grooves proud with a small triangular file to get them to grip one another again!!! Another huge PITA!!!!

Needless to say, my top was a bit out of whack to begin with.... :af: ....

No update yet. Not going to take it anywhere to have it done. Got to figure out how to adjust the top first because it looks like the front header needs to come forward anyway, then I'll do the windows.

Been too busy trying to get my new car to run (WS6). :Dou:

    It's getting close to Temple.
Make sure you have me show you that adjustment while we are there

With the way I've been completely lazy lately, it probably won't be adjusted by Temple, so you can show me then!
