I'm replacing my TA-1511A oil pan with a TA-1511D for added ground clearance. The new pan has no baffles at all. I'm fabricating baffles like the 1511A has. Should I fabricate a windage tray also? It has a block girdle so I don't think a factory tray would work. Thanks, Jeff

Jeff, There are various ways to reduce windage when using a girdle pan. Steve Reynolds has a screen that may work for you, .... SRE Fabrications. I designed a louvered baffle system using a Champ Pans BBC tray and making stands to hold it in place (pictured). You could always cut a circular opening for your OEM style pickup. I also modified my oem pan 25+ years ago before there were aftermarket pans available and have included photos of it also. If you ever want to sell the TA-1511-A pan I would be interested, ..... PM me if so, thanks.

I run a pan with a kickout, baffle, trap door, etc. just get the oil away from the crank.
