Just took acouple pic of my cars today. Just got the red 72 running yesterday with a fresh 455. And got my new ignition in the 70 today. Both are running good now and just need paint and vinyl tops put on them. Was hoping to have them both done this year but with work the way it is don't look like it's going to happen. It's very trying on your patience trying to do both at once. Its been 3 years for the 70 and and about a year for the 72.

I like the GS's alot. But for some reason I'm really drawn to the vintage Ford box truck. Whats up with that thing? Could be a swell daily driver with a homemade bed!

    ppffffttt, that's nuthin

Last week I rolled the Wildcat into the sunlight for the first time in about 3 years. A couple years ago I was hoping to have it done for the 100th anniversary in Flint , but I don't think I'm gonna make it.

Maybe for the BPG Nationals next August?

    Kevin,
I see you got the front tires on the 70 after I left. What we need to do is get a pic of all 3 of our cars now and when they are finished(in 5 years..lol)I am getting so anxious to get done that the stupid idea of ebaying my 70 GS grille came over me.But,I came back down to Earth rather quickly. That truck looks alot better in the pic than in real life. You would have probably upset alot of guys if you would have had the 69 in the pics instead.:TU:

Pat, your car is more complete than mine now. I'm still waiting for my engine. I wanted to let you know you can have the '72 sitting in my driveway once I get the engine back. I just want it around in case I need it for reference when putting it back together. I want to make sure everything is put back in the correct spot. I'm sure glad my parents have alot of patience with me. lol. On the GS I stripped the firewall and right side inner fender down to the bare metal and resprayed it. All I need is to do the other one, but sanding and stripping really sucks. lol. A friend of mine has a buddy that has two GS's in the woods by his house in Winfield. He supposed to get back to me about them, I think I'll give him a call this week. I believe they are both supposed to be GS 455's. He told me the branches grew around them so much that you can't even see them anymore. The guy had these cars since highschool.

Well one of them is all done except working out the bugs. Its been 3 years since I last drove one of these old Buicks and it feels great. Its no show car but will do untill I can get my 70 done.

I got a couple of the bugs worked out.Had to buy a new clutch for the fan.It was 94 degrees here yesterday and it stayed right around the 200 degree mark . I can live with that. Also had to buy a new starter. Dint want to start after it had been warmed up. All in all i dont think i have $2500 into buying the car and getting it to this point.
