I just purchased a `65 Riviera wood wheel from a local fella and i was wondering if the wheel would fit my `65 GS?the wheel center where the hub mount holes are looks a bit bigger,if it turns out to be bigger what hub do i need to make the wheel fit? Thanks
I doubt it... The mounting center is bigger. You will need to find the correct Riviera hub for the wood wheel. That's the only one that I know of that works with those wheels. If you want a working horn, then you will also have to locate the correct horn bar and all the neccessary contact pieces too since there isn't a regular type of horn cap like on most other steering wheels. If that all seems like too much bother, then let me know if you'd like to sell me that wheel to replace the cracked one in my car.:Brow:
Well there were 2 styles, one with the horn bars which was used in the rivies and the other style was used on the wildcats which had a regular style horn cap in the middle,my question is,will the hub of a wildcat or rivie be the same o.d. size as the Skylark GS?cause the hub size usually is the same size as the column so it blends in nice? Thanks
I can't find it anywhere. George, I was sure that somebody was reproducing those hubs but I can't seem to find it listed in any parts catalogs that I've got laying around. Perhaps someone else here knows who's got them. o No:
