Can some one tell me what year my wife’s old skylark is and is it a custom? Looking to get one same color and model she had 40 years ago! On her way to work at Arby’s.

Looks to be a 70-72 Skylark. I can't tell by the picture as they all used the same body. Grilles, HL Doors and bumpers were the majr exterior difference.

70-72 Skylark is what I say too. If you have a picture of the front or rear we can narrow down the year.

I could be mistaken but those appear to be 1970 hubcaps.

Thanks guys! What other models are there Gs custom and base and does this appear to be a base model?

Would any family member recall the model and year? Parent? Uncle? Brother?

I can’t see the hub cab too well (resolution) but here is a 72 cap off my base Skylark

I believe they were available on 70-72 Skylarks.

    I can't 100% tell if it's glare/an imperfection on the picture, or if that's a round emblem on the hood I'm seeing, but if it's a round emblem it's likely a 72.

Without seeing the front or rear bumpers/grill, it's pretty hard to tell the 70-72s apart.

I can see half of the round courtesy light in the sail panel above the rear shelf board, so it would have had the Custom/Deluxe interior.

The real question is: would the wife know a 70 from a 71 or 72? :) Find a 2 door Custom or Deluxe in one of those years of the same color combo. I would recommend watching ebay and CARS.com and other likely sources like here.
Who said they would offer to be a finder?

Maybe you could take the lady to a car show and let her see the different interiors. That might tell you if it was a 70 or 71-72.

Thanks to 12 lives! Found it on cars.com at Akron Bmw that was part of a group that had a Buick dealership at one time and kept the car on display for five years after a Buick dealer trade in.
