The Camaro actually beat the 911S and the GTR around the full course because it was so much faster in the corners. Who would have guessed this would have happened?

Stock Camaro? Never would have...thought that. :TU: for the Camaro then.

No kill stories for the GS yet. Engine still working through the machine shop. Hopefully I will have it back on the street later this year.

Even though the cars now are actually getting pretty quick and giving the old muscle a run for its money, the reality is the average Joe is not good enough behind the wheel to get the times reported in the magazines. They think they are, but don't spend enough time fine tuning their driving skills to make the car perform like it should. They rely too much on the "assists" to make them go fast. Or they do like this guy the other day in his new ZL1, turn off all the assists and power slide it through a fence and into the neighborhood pool.

I don't know what the magazines say but I own a 2013 mustang GT 5.0 6 speed and BONE STOCK on 235 Pirelli street tires it has gone a best of 12.96@110 mph with a 2.06 60 ft time. with some sticky tires its easilly a 12.50 car. Not screaming fast but not bad for bone stock.

I just made a new Mustang 5.0 wear his ass for a hat the other night. He pulled up next to me at a light, we exchanged nods, and went. I was on cold tires, but managed to pull him in first gear, hit second and spun until I stepped on the clutch to go to third, by which time he got my lead back, passed me, and got 3 lengths on me. I grabbed third, made up my three lengths and drove three more lengths past him. Grabbed 4th, drove away further, realized I was into triple digit speeds on a city road with my wife in the car, and decided that I had made my point. He was cool, gave me thumbs up at the next intersection.

This was the new Z/28. It was purpose build for road course work and this test took place at Barber road course in Birmingham. When they asked the Chevy boys what it ran in the quarter, they answered they did not know as they had never run it straight line! (Not that I really believe that) It has 505HP, 481 lb- ft and has run the quarter in other tests at the numbers Jim stated.

The Porsche and Nissan will kill it 0-60 2.6/2.7 to the Camaro's 4.0. But with 305 factory rubber and a great suspension, this version of the Camaro owns the twisties. Imagine that?

I know the question here is about kills, but the new Camaro ( like many of the new cars out there) are impressive out of the box. Pardon this commercial interruption, now returning to your regular programming... :TU:

I have been tuning and tweaking the GS after the winter and the new 3.23 posi and seems like every time I get on Georgia 400 some kraut burner wants to benchmark against me. Eating kraut does get a little old sometimes, but the M3's always think their cars are fast. They don't think about the fact that I am making more torque at tick over than they are at full chat. Here in the Atlanta area, GA400 is known as the Alpharetta Autobahn. And you literally see kraut everywhere anytime of day.
