My red/ burgundy interior looks perfectly like a common 70s porn movie... :)

For me the colour doesn't matter just as long as it's in good shape, correct for the car, and everything works. I've fried in my own fat in summer in both white and black interiors, they're both a nightmare to keep clean.

One of the best interiors I had was in a 1969 Wildcat I had. Some one had found and transplanted a whole 1970 Wildcat interior in to it, and it was the very rare buckets and console model. Wish I'd have kept that car!

It was black, the only colour it ever came in.
I think there probably about 50 of them ever released, of course I had no idea it was that rare when I owned it.

I should go and see if I can track down what happened to the car. A guy had scammed it off of me (payment for bodywork on a Mercedes that he didn't do well) and then his ex got it after she had him arrested for domestic violence. I last saw it on her family farm about 150 miles away from here, but that was probably 20 years ago. It had a spun rod bearing by that point, and wasn't running. But it was fully loaded, with buckets, console, power windows, A/C, tilt, cruise control, and power locks. It had a 455 that I built to Stage 1 specs, the motor was only 3 years old when it spun the same rod as before. It had a solid body on it then, I had just had it repainted a year before. If it still exists, it's probably totally shot by now if it was outstanding in it's field like I think happened to it. When that rod bearing spun out on me I hated that car so much I couldn't look at it anymore; everything I had done to it screwed up somehow or someone else I paid to do work had screwed it up and wouldn't stand behind what they did. It was such a bad experience I actually sold off all my old cars and gave up for a couple of years.

That is, until the Wildcat convertible came along; then I was hooked again. Nah, maybe I won't look it up again...

I like black interiors simply for the fact that its easy to match. Black is black. Ever see a green interior or a saddle interior that has faded? It looks like its three different colors.

ya you described my 73 interior exactly! That's why I am thinking of color changing to black.

I love the look of a black interior, like my former 68 had, but my brother's old 68 had a white interior I really liked also, and for sure it was a heck of a lot more comfortable in the summer!

Your car is gorgeous! rally wheels and its perfect. My 73 LeSabre is Jade green with green interior and I wish it was black. Too much green green green. and the greens on the dash dont match with the seats or the headliner or the panels. All different. The green door panels are mint though and beautiful so I hate to change colors.

well here is my 70 Electras interior. Red and white exterior and black interior. It would be modern colors in any era! Hot in summer? (leather in any color will be), but its classy and timeless IMHO.

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

I like most color interiors as long as they go well with the exterior color. My wife had a white '68 Cutlass convertible with black vinyl guts. With the top down, we covered the seat bottom with a blanket. Sans the blanket, when you got in it, after it was parked in the Sun, your arse would automatically tend to hover because the brain in it would seem to be aware of the impending scorching.
