pulled the heads on a 401 and the pass side exhaust valves were white. the other side was ok. is it to lean or is water getting in there? thank you for any help. it seem like it was low on power and running rough at idle if this helps.

White usually indicates a lean condition- need more info- are the valves coked up or ????

a machine shop took a look and said it was not water. maybe lean or maybe the exhaust was not getting out. it had ajustable push rods, could be they were set to short or long?. or something to do with the vavle seat.
