Which water pump

    Can anyone tell me if I need a long or short shaft water pump for a 455 into a 66 skylark? A part number wold be appreciated. I plan on getting TA frame pads and mounts. Thank you, john

    Im not sure right now what i have. I was told it came from a full size buick. I also found some puleys from a 68 riviera with ac at tha junk yard. I was thinking more of the fan and shroud placement and not belts. Glad i asked and thank you for the link

    Yes, the short water pump would be best. Just get the right pulleys and you can go that way.

    Thank you very much, do you know, did the full size cars come with the long shaft and the smaller cars come with the short, just curious. Thanks again, john
