which rear in stock 1972 GS

Which rear end came stock in 1972 GS's? 8.2? 8.5?

8.5 , '70 was the last year for the 8.2. :beer

 

Stock rear was an 8.5 with 3.08 gears. You have the corporate rear and GM used the same center section from 71-87. You can find a posi for it from many GM cars. We have an article on our site about this topic.
