    Hi,
simple question : on a Buick Skylark 1970, should all the lights (GEN, BRAKE, OIL, HOT) or only a few come on when I turn the key? Or when I start the engine (just a second) ?

    Thanks,

Gen and Oil should be on with the key on . Hot will be on when key is turned to start position . I'm not 100% sure of Brake but I think its on when key is in the On position if the brake is actually engaged . If the brake is in the Released position I think it only lights when you turn the key to start .

Thank you! I got the Hot light when I start the engine but not the Oil and Gen before. I tested my oil unit wiring and the problem comes from the connector. I think I got the same problem on my alternator connector. GEN light was on a week ago because of a cheap circuit breaker on my battery. Now the engine starts but no GEN light. I will change the alt connector. Always connector stories! :)

    Thanks,
