I still have problems getting my email to bullet cams.. Worked first time I sent one, but now I keep getting automatic replies that due to a DNS failure or something the email don't make it.. Out of the 2 cams from Schneider and Bullet, I'm most hooked on the Bullet, but if I can't reach them it will be difficult to order anything Is there a website your can see the cams and order or? Thank you..
Wanted to stay away from the ridiculousness and leave a reminder comment. When you port the heads, the bottom end of the powerband is enhanced...esp. the part throttle performance. It will tolerate a little bit more cam. You won't see that on a dyno sheet or magazine article. You can't just stick more cam in and expect that without cooperative improvements. Hopefully this keeps within the context of the thread.
The cam will be put in together with homeported and slightly milled heads.. The intake will be gasket matched and doc modded + I will make a H' on the 2 x 2,5" exhaust .. I allready have a 750cfm carb and recurved timing with pertronix pick up and coil.. Changed oil in the transmission and rear diff, and got my drive shaft rebuilt with new joints and bearings so the least amount off power is lost on its way to the back wheels.. There are NO dealers in Denmark knowing the parts for my Electra, so the seal/bushing/bearing/gasket/rubber housing for the drive shaft rebuilt came from US at a price of $260 ( 5 small parts ) Off topic, the dollar is more expensive for me now than ever, so you country must do something right.. I pay close to 700DKK for 100USD ... For 2 years ago it was closer to 500DKK.. Houmark
HoumarkHoumark, I think you asked about how much it would cost for labor to have a large cars driveshaft rebuilt and balanced. Here in my area it cost me $245 USD for rebuilding the CV joint, replacing the bearing housing, and balancing. I supplied all parts except the universal joints which are included in the price. Your cost of $250 for parts is not too bad. I think I had a total of $400 in mine.
The joints come in on top + labor for changing the joints and bearings + the balance work Total was $750 ...
Ouch. The workers must have more pay there :Brow: Labor was only $95 for me which I thought was a steal.
Labor was over $350 for just changing the joints and bearing + balance it.. The USD keeps on climing.. Good for you, bad for me.. All the parts I order get way more expensive, especially because I work in Norway witch currency keeps falling.. Less on my paycheck, more money for the parts..
