Of all the cars you have owned and then sold, which one car would you most want back.

Of course like most, I have more than one car I wish i could have back in the garage, but this calls for one.

The car that I would like back in my garage the most is my 53 Super Riviera hardtop
It was a special car on a few levels for me, it was sold during my divorce proceedings and broke my heart when it was trailered away. I saw it a couple years later at a Buick show and couldn't even walk around it to look at it. It has since moved to Australia

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Mine was a '67 Plymouth GTX. I was divorced at the time and living in a rental duplex. I was employed by an auto brokerage firm. There was no dealers license, so the firm could not own cars, just sell them for others. When folks had to trade in a vehicle, I often bought them, if the price was right. Then I'd sell them through the firm. At the time, I was already having to deal with storage for my '69 Z/28RS. And, I owned a '68 LeMans with a GTO drivetrain and a '74 Gremlin X Levi Edition. The college kid, from Utah, needed a more economical vehicle, so I took the GTX in trade. It was the middle of winter. I had nowhere to store it inside, so I wound up selling it. I had always wanted one, finally had one and it hurt to let it go. I was more attached to the Z.

New '71 Corvette--not a good car, but it is worth a TON of money today for some reason, so I would sell it fast.

Also, '70 black/black GS 350. Without question, best car I ever owned of this ilk. Must have been built on a "good" day as it ran like a scalded cat and was drop-dead beautiful as well.

Like everyone else, LOTS of others, but these would be nice!

    Cheers!

One I had and let go was a 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 convertible. It was white with a black top and red interior and was a 383 four speed car. I know they didn’t make many in that configuration. I also failed to keep a 67 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S fastback with a 383 four speed.

The first GS I owned. Gulfstream Blue over blue interior. It had low miles and was a great runner. I sold it to fund a GSX restoration. The car sits in a collection now.

'70 GTO convertible, numbers matching almost no rust at all. Original cardinal red with light tan interior, buckets seats and console. Bought it from my best friends mom, she got it in early '71. I sold it in 1994 and still don't know why.

1969 GTX 440 auto. Bought it for $2,000, fell on hard times and had to sell 7 years later in 1995. It was totaled around 2000 when a dump truck rear ended it.

In January 1987 placed an order at Crossroads Buick Chevrolet (West Chicago, IL) for a Buick Turbo WE4. Could not afford the GN’s priced at the various dealers in the area. Turbo package, radio delete, posi, solid roof, manual windows and door locks, intermittent wipers, rear defogger, a very low option car. $1,000 down, no promises from the dealer, and fingers crossed they would get an engine allocation. Took delivery June 1987 - stolen 1993. Never found.

my favorite a 56 Century 2drht same color as his 53, white over blue.
Had dual Walker glass packs, loved the sound! Would buy another if I found a nice one.
Did have a nice 56 Special that I bought cuz it was similar to it.

Fortunately bought my '64 Riv. new. Went through two divorces & it was the hot topic. Hid it away two times, told them to try & find it. Subject dropped especially after I went into the lawyers office while he was with a client. told him if ANYTHING happened to my baby I would have to be in jail as he would be the 1st. one I would be after. NEVER heard another word.
2nd. had to go to court. Told judge "why could someone say they would destroy my baby that I had longer than she is old". I'd rather you cut my arm, which would heal itself rather than scratch my car. Case dismissed. Provocation. Come to find out he had six older cars himself. Got lucky. It sits downstairs under my feet now as I'm typing this. Bought six cemetery plots to be buried in it. Had to sell them as they CAN'T do this any longer. Both of my 2nd. boys want it. Told them they had to share. To be cremated. Fine powder ONLY saved. Big pieces don't care. Run car at faster than idle RPM & sprinkle powder through car & out tailpipes. They both know what to do as thy have seen me sprinkle water through engines to break up carbon deposits.
Will be part of MY BABY FOREVER. CREEPY???

For me it's the one that got away. I just bought my house 23 years ago and in the local paper was a 70 GS Stage 1 convertible 4 speed rust free for $6K with a bad motor.
