Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

There aren't too many, that have equally poor taste in color, who would even pay for that, let alone steal it.

I don't understand the hangup with the plate.
Everyone sees it all day long when it is out and about.
What security does one gain by covering it for an ad?

Anyone that paranoid would probably be a true joy to work with.

Wonder if he would give you a street corner to meet him at and then bag you & drive you around for the test drive?:D

The owner is paranoid about some one steeling his GREEN COLLECTORS edition.

Even living in chitcawgo, it was a major favor to ask a cop, even a pal, to run a plate for you.

A reason to cove the plate prevents someone who works for a police dept who could run the plate and realize the owner's name & address. If owner had an outstanding warrant - Bob's your uncle.

I'm pretty sure that I have the only cortez gold Buick within a 100 miles. I'm not hard to find :D

I did see the cortez gold 71' wagon that came up for sale a while back at Woodward last year.

With all the plate covering in ads, there must be a lot of wanted felons selling vehicles. ;):D And Fanny's your aunt.
