Never mind that I laid it down wrong - that's because I pulled it back up - because I thought I may have laid it wrong. NOPE - it's cut wrong.
This was purchased from CARS - the lid was from CARS but said The Parts Place on it. The Parts Place has supplied me two out of 5 times with the wrong parts and
the quality on most of the items is pretty darn cheap.

    Ok I vented my .02!

I made my own out of wood veneer bought at lowes.Hot glue already on the back. Cut to fit. stain and top coat heat up the glue with a heat gun and stick it on. Best part is you can finish it in any color you want.

I know the title of the thread is where NOT to buy these woodgrain kits, but you should get them from Greg Setter, if he still is making them. He has die cut tooling and very high quality woodgrain stock material. Search and you should find his contact info ... I know many senior members on this Board swear by his products.

Yes, I bought from them before the quality is very good and I think they also have the console kits too.
I had purchase a set from cars inc had to return the vinyl they were using had deep grains so the lettering would break up not clear.

Is your kit different from the one this Ebay seller is offering?

Two years ago I had to return the set I bought from Year One- the fonts were too thick and did not match the originals. Gregg's were spot on!

Phil's wood grain kits are very good. Phil's are the ones in the eBay links. Not as good as Greg's, but miles ahead of the REM that TPP and many others sell.
