My 66 Skylark GS 4 speed is missing the equalizer ball that the clutch fork lever ACM. fits into. See attached pictures of equalizer and clutch fork lever and Chassis service manual diagram of the clutch and a yellow arrow pointing to the ball. this ball is about 1' OD with about a .64 ID hole that the lever ASM fits into. Any idea on finding or making one. Was this ball steel or some type of plastic? Thanks Bill.

It is steel. I did not know it could be removed!
i will look at my spare stuff and see what it looks like.

I have a setup that is missing one too and I just ordered a box of 1" steel balls--should be here early next week. I plan to drill all of them on the lathe and make them into these balls, so I will have some to sell here in a couple weeks. They had a minimum order, so I have 18 coming I think.

Brian, thanks for posting this. Yes I will take 2. Looks like this one has been gone a long time. Have you ever found any bushings/seals to replace the bell housing fork shaft ends? Also, the through-out bearing arm tabs where the bearing spring clip hooks to, have some ware on one side, any fix except build back up with weld? The fork arm looks like cast and the tabs look like steel pressed into it on either side. Thanks Bill.

The fork will work fine as it is with the flat spots on the fork, but if you do want to repair it, welding is the only way to fix it. As for the bushings, all you can do is make a set of them on the lathe. I have seen some with brass oilite bushings, and others with some sort of plastic bushing.

Yes these are kinda different bushings, groves on the pass side and not sure of the other side.
