I have only seen one carb'd turbo setup and it was at the junkyard... I couldnt afford it at the time, and now its too late. Could I buy everything new, or will I get raped buy the prices? I'm pretty interested in a turbo as my car barely moves.I tried google and was lucky enought to find this site. Any ideas? Thanks. -Tommy.
Dont take this as a put off, but you may be able to get a lot of your answers from the message board over at www.turbobuick.com. I, personally, dont know where you'd get a turbo setup for your car. You could custom make one, but the parts might be a bit expensive. Another place you could check is the junkyard turbo's yahoo group ( http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/jyturbo/ )
Turbo stuff.... What exactly are you looking for??? You can do a blow-thru carb with a turbo but it is different than what you would see on a 78 Riv. Try the link I'll post and read around in there to get a better general idea of what your looking for. I think that you could do a blow thru turbo setup and make good power but it will take some custom exhaust work. http://www.turbomustangs.com/forums/
turbo parts i have a 79 turbo setup with most of the parts. the only difference i know of is 79 had taller head ports but should still work and you could use the newer taller port heads on your motor also. 125 plus ship. has alot of cast iron so is heavy. in chicago.also poston and atr have headers for these (get 84-85 car)but downpipe would be modified to fit. email apierce72@comcast.net thank andy
