Quick question....how do I tell which size wheels I have? I know they are the factory 15" but I'm needing to see if they are 15x7 or 15x8.

Any my way to distinguish between the two?

Measure the wheel bead to bead.

Gotcha. May have to dismount the tires then. Was thinking there may be a way to do it with tires on it.

Buick only made the 15" Chrome wheel in 7". It will measure right at 8" outer lip to outer lip. An 8" wheel will measure about 9" lip to lip.

Measure bead to bead inside the wheel. The vast majority of these wheels are 15x6. Late model (1978-84?) station wagons had 15x7. None ever made in 15x8.

Thank you. Mines isn't completely chrome however. It is the 15" rally wheel. Just unsure of width size. Trying to order some wheel rings and they are asking me what width I have. Thinking I may have to just dismount the tire and find out.

No need for that, take one wheel to a tyre shop, they will have a device like this, because they have to punch in the J size on the wheel balancer:
    (Or buy one new)

    Even better:
Try to find one of these at a garage sale, I picked up one for the equivalent of US$ 5.00 :TU:

Wheel rings? You mean trim rings?

Now I'm wondering, what do trim rings have to do with the width of a rim :Do No: ?
    15 inch = 15 inch.

Or do the 7J rims use deeper rings, compared with the 6J rims?

That's what I thought too. Called the vendor to order and they stated they needed to know the width to confirm the order. I was like huh??? These just fit on the outside of the wheel right?

They said it has something to do with the depth in which the trim sits into the wheel. One is a round shape and the other is a stepped up shape.

Ah, sorry folks, disregard my post. I had full-size sport wheels on my mind. Different animal altogether.
