Just saw a pic of a C8 Corvette with no wheels - rumor is someone has a new nice set of wheels! I have a set on my red line tired ralley's, but not on anything else. I guess it depends on where you live too.

They better not try selling them or putting them on something, can't be many sets "floating" around

If I was to do something like that I would at least take the whole car cuz up here in Canada we have what's called theft over $5,000 law and I know those rims and tires would be worth more than five grand. So if you were to be caught it would be the same charge:D:p

I have them on my 69 Skylark, though I don’t normally leave it unattended in and out of a store for frosty beverages

I have them on every vehicle. The TA's came with factory locks

I use Gorilla locks and have for years. You can buy a set of 20, so that each lug is a lock. They look great, hold up well, and the price is reasonable.

Between the strike, test drivers getting arrested, and the wheels getting stolen off prototypes, we might get to see the new Vette in production come 2022.......

… in "salt-land" locks corrode and you can't change your flat. As for C8, you know what they say, "locks are for honest people"...

Car doesn't get outta my sight from the time it rolls outta the garage till the time the cover is snugged over it again. The garage camera takes over then.

I don't recall ever having wheels nice enough that anyone would want to steal them. I wuz all set to buy a stupid expensive set for the Buchev, but the company that made them (Circle Racing) apparently went out of business.

I installed set of GM wheel locks on my 87 Turbo Limited that I got from my local dealer in SC before going to California. Lost the lock key at sometime (Or so I thought...) and went to a Buick dealer in San Diego to get a replacement set, and thought, "Oh well, this is going to be fun, getting the OTHER set of locks off..." Guess what!!! Different serial number, but the key fit both sets!!! I was NOT impressed. Who knows if there are actually different keys or if they are only a few, and mine 'just happened' to match? I got a set of MCGARD Tough locks VERY quickly.. (Spelling may be in error)

I'm just glad that I never had that issue on the 1984 T-Type wheels. Ever try to put on a REGULAR nut on those wheels? You are shooting down a well!

Easier to just steal the whole car. And wheel locks only slow the thief down a little. Like most mechanics, I have a Snap On wheel lock removing tool in my toolbox. Works like a charm

I have owned 5 vehicles that had wheel locks installed by the factory. I replaced the wheel locks with regular cap nuts from the dealer.
