Brushed my paint on with foam brushes after cleaning the block with lacquer thinner and primering smooth parts (oil pan/valve covers/oil filter mount/etc). I think it came out pretty dang well:

This enamel paint dries hard as a ROCK. I was advised not to install or run the motor for a week after painting to let the paint set correctly. I'm confident this stuff will be HARD to chip by now, it's amazing!

pre-emptive edit: I cry too because of all the crap covering up the car in the yellow cover. Someone's gotta help me convince my father to let me take it out and get it going!

Been working on cleaning up under the hood. I had some old cans of black primer(flat) so I used them up on the fender wells. I still need to go over them and the firewall with some semi gloss after some more cleaning. It was super sunny when I took these pictures.
2 cans of Detroit desiel green on the motor and 1200 degree grill paint on the exhaust manifolds. Add in a roll of tape and the grand total was under $20.00.:bla:

This one was before the new gaskets and spray bombs. ALOT better now considering I did it in the car.
