So I've sourced myself a 12 bolt and don't know what to do with my 8.2 10 bolt. It's an open diff 2.93 gear. I feel bad scrapping it and doubt Craigslist will get me anywhere with it. Is this worth keeping?

How clean is it? If it is a 70,it has the better axle bearing design,so that is a plus.

Diff and gears look fine. The housing could use a brake clean and scrubbing which I might do once it's out from under the car

If you are familiar with Fastenal, and don't mind shipping it. I might be interested.

Dollar store Easy Off works great!

I haven't used them but I'm generally familiar with their shipping services. Once it's out I can send you some pics. It's from a 70 GS 350. I'll have to look for the axle codes

Good tip! I'll pick some up and try it out on the new axles as well

Yep, rode bmx as a teen (mainly street and skate parks). Mainly ride mountain bikes these days but usually in the spring when the trails are soggy I dig out my bmx bike and ride that.
