Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

We had to cut holes in our '67 Skylark when we put new hockey pucks in. We just welded the metal back in. We did not put cage nuts back. We used regular 8 grade bolts and nuts. At that time, we caged it so it won't be coming apart again, I hope!

Use lots and lots of Kroil. Skip the pb blaster and get the good stuff.

I will start soaking them now this way hopefully in a couple weeks we can try and separate the two halves and have the chassis back in hopefully a shorter amount of time!

    Can't beat Kroil.
Never thought of that on the rear - Good idea. Even a 2x4 with a couple properly spaced eye bolts would work. Once high enough, could also put stands under the rear of the rockers and roll the frame out the back.

Putting a set of bare rims on the back helps roll it out. It brings the wheel arches of the frame down.
