The biggest consideration is the cam. TA says "small stall converter". I read that to mean, 2000-2200. But here is the thing. There are lots of factors that determine stall speed in a converter. Car weight, engine torque, gearing, to mention a few. Any off the shelf converter you pick will be an estimate. When it comes to converters, you get what you pay for. It is one of the biggest factors determining how the car drives and feels. If you want the best result, have a converter built for your combination. Yes it costs more.
