Im going to have the exhaust re-done from the manifolds to the rear bumper. I am curious as to know what mufflers sound best with a Nailhead. Flowmasters? Stock?

I like the TA 2.5" system with the super turbos, pretty deep tone , somewhat aggressive for the Riv. I really like the tone of my Wildcat with H-Pipe- that seemed to make a nice difference. has pretty generic (close to stock) mufflers. I do nit like the tone of Magnaflow 14" long mufflers-I prefer bigger (20" to 24" long case).

I used 4 dynomax ultra flows.......the stainless ones. Nice low, mellow tone and they come alive when I gas it :Brow: Part 17279 cost me about $110 each at NAPA but lifetime guaranteed and worth it IMO. You'll have trouble getting pipes to clear around the rear wheel area if they are much thicker than 2-1/4"........I stuck with 2". I also don't see how you could get a larger pipe to fit on the exhaust manifolds.

Yardley could tell you how he made the larger TA pipes fit on his Riv. :bglasses:

Dual 14" glasspacks on my Merc. Nice bark and rap, good mellow tone with just a of chirp at idle. I love it. Neighbors don't!

Hey Joe, which size are your Ultra-Flows? (no pdf on this 'puter) I have had good results on my GS with the Ultra Flow Welded 24" case with the 455 cars. I like them A LOT, but are pretty loud without h or x-pipe. additional mufflers are also an option-resonators or glass packs.
