LOL... I had a guy in the apartment complex where I lived ask me to park along the back... cause everytime I parked by his unit, his pictures would rattle on the wall...lol. from the exhaust..lol.

    Headers, 3in, and flowmasters...

He got the strangest look on his face when I started laughing:grin:

With my old wagon, in my HS days... my parents would say they could hear me over the TV before I turned onto our street... our street was 1 mile from the turn to our house. I loved that car... the Lows would hit certain notes and you couldn't focus your eyes because they were shaking in the sockets... with the beat. I didn't do that many times though. Girl Friend absolutley LOVED my car...

And I wonder why I'm def in my right ear:Dou: :Dou:

Well for you guys who liked the old Hifonics, Autotek, Lanzar, Rodek, ESX and some US Acoustics (1980's up to late 1990's on some companies) amps, here is a link for you.

This man is the father of car audio amps. He was the first to do so many things with them. I have owned so many of the above companies products, but only when Zed built them. Now most are junk that is owned by a huge company that builds most amps on the market. I recieved my 2 new amps from Zed last week. I bought the Deuce and the Gladius. They look awesome and remind me of the old days. They are considered by the experts as possibly the best amps on the market today. Yet, they are not widely known. He is not doing a great job with marketing them. Don't know why. Maybe he can't build enough to supply many people.

So, if you need a new amp and want true power with the highest quality of SQ, go with them. You can call the owner himself and he will teach class for you. The manual with each amp even teaches you things you didn't know.

By the way, prices are not high either.

one thing that most people dont realize is subs are like engines in ways, they need to be broken in.

Most people just wire them up and play them as loud as they can, which wont allow them to produce the loudest and clearest they possibly can.

I ordered 2 new Zed amplifiers last week. I recieved them and started testing at the old stereo shop. The Deuce amp which is a class a/b design produced near 1000 watts at a 4 ohm load mono. Very clean sounding amp! It would make subs do things that the newer amps can't like play a 25hz and 80hz at the same time cleanly.

The other is a Gladius 75x2 amp. It produces much more that the rated power. It was compared with the top of the line Zapco in its class. The Zapco may have had a tad more stereo separation, but other than that this Zed held its own. The Zapco retails for almost $700 while this Zed sells directly for only $200!! I'm not an SQ expert so I let the so called ones listen to the Zap and the Zed to compare. I trust their opinions. The car was a late model Honda with top of the line MB Quarts in the front stage and it was setup properly.

For $37 more Zed will install a SQ chipset into the Gladius which may make it as good as the Zapco. They will put the chips into any amp they make.

I will be ordering a couple more soon. Very high quality amps in today's shabby market.

John, shabby is a understatement! Look at Soundstream and could give many more examples. I saw this ... http://cgi.ebay.com/treo-amp-zed-au...ryZ18797QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem and reminded me of how things were years ago! AL.

Yeah, that's a beauty. I have been watching it on my ebay. These Zed amps are something great for me. I can't afford $1000-$3000 amps to run door speakers, but want a good sound. The only way I could do that in recent years was to use my old amps. Now I have a option to get a new amp with a warranty that performs great and doesn't break the bank. Steven Mantz even signed the bottom of the Gladius and dated it. He really takes pride in what he does.

Zapco still makes a great top of the line amp. They also make cheaper ones too. Dealers tell me that the cheaper line outsells the good ones by more than triple. Most people can't afford a top quality Zap now unless they buy it second hand. PPI sucks now along with Hifonics, Autotek, Soundstream and Rockford. They can make loud amps, but they don't sound like the old days and I don't think they will be around 20 years from now like the old amps of today are.

My favorite all time amp, McIntosh. My buddy had one in his bug, powering two fosgate 12's, probably one of the loudest non comp vehicles I have ever heard.
