What issues might I have to worry about going to Q-Jet from 2 barrel?

Not sure if this is the best place to post, but many moons ago I mentioned a few issues I have had to deal with this year (more outside the Q-jet, but did have problems getting the accelerator pump pin out) so, finally getting close to taking over to a friend to put the "new" intake and carb on...and my Dad keeps saying, well, what about the linkage???
well...hmmm, will I have any issues with linkage/kickdown, etc? Better to ask now, than have the old intake and Carb off, then find out I need to get some universal linkage that no advance/autozone will have in stock some Saturday
    Thanks!

The four barrel manifold and carb will bolt in with no changes after you remove the 350 manifold and carb. There might be a couple of vacuum and/or emission hose differences but, they should be easy to resolve. The kick down is on the accelerator pedal and is the same. However, the throttle linkage is different between 2 barrel and 4 barrel carbs. The 4 bbl linkage is about 3/4 in. longer but might work on the 2 bbl.. Here's a tech write-up on throttle linkages.

You will have an issue with getting traction. Tires will smoke like never before
