What is wrong with these TH400 mounts?

Ordered a trans mount through a vendor over the winter and went to install it yesterday...too narrow to mount on the bolt holes of the trans. I chalked it up to a snafu from the vendor and bought one from O’reilly today...same exact mount. Is there something I’m missing?

Looking at some other photos of mounts on vendor websites, these appear to be 350 mounts. The 400's look like they have elongated holes. Awesome.

and the photo for the 400 on Todd's site shows the rubber embossed with 2268, not 2368 (the ones I have here are 2368)

Strange. Guess you have nothing to match it up against?

Unfortunately no. The car came here in boxes, and most of it was missing.

Just went through this last winter. I bought mine at O'Reilly's, part number A2268. I can't remember if I finally got the part number for a big Buick or a Chevelle. Like you, the first mount I got from them was for a TH350.

Adam, I'm pretty sure I have an NOS one if you get jammed up. I can't do it any cheaper than $2.66, though.

I believe I have 2 spares for TH350 around here because the first 2 times I ordered them, they sent the wrong things.

Glad you got it squared away.

They do not seem to know what trans is in your car. That happens all the time
here, since the trans is every car has been upgraded. I usually resort to looking
up a model for which the TH400 (or whatever) was the only option. Bruce Roe

O" Reilly's kept sending us TH350 Mounts even though we specified TH400. Happened about 3 times last year.

Simply another reason why I started stocking all this stuff! Then when I get a wrong part I can just blame myself! Lol

Thanks Adam for checking with me. Happy to help!!!

Both versions in stock for $15 ! (and I know what one to send ya) :)

Want a whole kit with correct GM Hardware ??? I have them to! :)
