My 69 Riv has what looks like a factory hole in the floor in front of the gas pedal. No idea what it is for. Maybe just an assembly line thing? I believe it was just filled with goop.

Should I weld in a patch?

Lol could be but maybe a bit tight.

It must have been a factory thing somewhere in the process. I’m just gonna button it up

It doesn't look factory to me because of the rise in the metal, almost like from drill bit flutes pushing it up when drilled. Either that or it is for an exhaust cutout cable for the ultra rare 1 of 1 Riviera that had this like the GTO Judge did.
