Drained the fluid on the 700R4 this evening and... found this on the bottom of the pan. I've never been deeper in a transmission than a valve body change so... Clutch pack? It's slightly flexible, but more brittle than soft.
Looks like it may have been a remnant of a previous pan gasket? Perhaps from a filter change in the past? Jim
While I know the pan hasn’t been off since the trans was built and installed, I’ll go with it. I’m not ready to go digging deeper at this point... Thank you both for the replies!
