    Hi,

I got a Garrett GT55 from my Volvo wrenching days and it got me thinking about building a 455 single turbo engine.

My idea is to use a set of Shorty headers switched around and from there fab some exhaustpipe to a t6 flange collector.

For ignition i'm thinking about a msd billet distributor which I will lock out and use the 6al-2 to set a timing table for boost.

    Any input would be appreciated.

The 6al2 is a good choice and will be what I use as well. For the Carb give Eric at Horsepower innovations a call or Kevin at CSU. Don't waste your time with home brewed carbs not worth the hassle. For low boost tho you don't need a table just lock it and go. What fuel you wanting to run? And the Diesel turbos aren't a good match unless you clip it.

Going to run 109 octane race fuel and low boost because the engine has about 9.5:1 comp ratio if i use a ta .120" steel head gaskets.

With 109 , ID lock timing at 26° and 8lbs and let it eat , add meth injection and go for 12lbs

I guess we will see what I can come up with. A buddy of mine bought a fitech efi power adder ratet for 1200 HP for his pontiac but he wants to sell it cause he's moving back to Australia. The turbo i've got to be exact is a Garret gt553r with a 1.25 a/r turbine housing.
