I guess 9,200 RPM was a bad idea!

 

This was 3krpm 65mph. It didn't even die a warriors death. Just randomly exploded on my way home. Still ran tho for about 30 seconds. Lol

 

Motor is still in the car as of now. Maybe I can find the other half of the cam and #8 rod in the pan. Or maybe it was those that made the tinktatinktonktink sound bouncing down the highway...

 

Bummer as that won't buff out..
I had a cam exit the rear of a 350 block years ago through a good size hole in the block.

Yes these engines sure come apart when things mess up! It only takes a few thousands of change to cause the cam to hit the rods, and then of course its a mess from there.

 

Yep. My TA intake is fine tho lol. Pushrod beat the hell out of the valley pan.

Replace the starter and it is a time to sell that motor, ran great yesterday.

 

Damn near. Oil slick big time. James Bond level. I was right next to my off ramp exit, 3 miles from my house.
