I shifted to second way before the trans shifted, didin't hava a tach when I shot that video and the timing wasn't exactly correct eather(you can hear popping from the exhaust). With a rebuilt carb and recurved HEI, I think I can get it to do 0-60 in 8 seconds with same gears, but not less.

    Yes, it shows correctly.

That trans looks sweet! Need to save some money and order me one of those.

When I watched that video I couldn't help but think, "Wow, I would love to have a 200MPH speedo!

That 0-60 time seems a little on the slow side for your setup. I was running 0-60 in around 6.5 seconds with a holley 600, 2.73s and fuel delivery issues. What does your car weigh?

    That would be neat!

Wow, 6.5 would be cool with those gears.I think my car weighs same when it came from the factory. :Do No:'Maybe little more with the audio system.I had 2 people with me,half a tank of gas and trunk full of stuff when I shot that video. What year engine did you have?Stock? Mines is problably stock with compression they had in '71, if the engine is from '71.

    What would be the 0-60 time's with '70 350(285-315HP),TH350 and 2.73 gears.And with TH200-4R and 3.73 gears.

Another question! Powertrax No-Slip or Detroit Truetrac? Or something else?

I would first get a nice run in an empty car! I run pretty close to 6 seconds flat now with how the car is set up. Weight is 3700lbs with driver. I have a bone stock 72 350 with a calibrated Qjet and headers

I've got a Detroit TrueTrac in mine and it works well. Feels like a single track when you are driving around like a sane person, no popping. Then, when you lay into it, sideways with a little throttle, two stripes for as long as you can.

Plus, it uses standard rear grease with NO posi lube additive.
