What finish would you choose on an aluminum pulley?

If you were to buy new pulleys for your nailhead, what finish would you choose?

    If you were to buy aluminum pulleys for your nailhead, what finish would you choose?


    1. Raw machined finish
    - Lower cost​
    - Can be polished but will corrode and "dull" over time requiring attention​
    2. Polished & clear anodized
    - Great shiny looks ​
    - Offers some wear resistance​
    3. Color anodized- Blue, red, gold, black
    - Match those hose end fittings and other accents!​
    - Offers some wear resistance​
    4. Hard anodize (Type III)- Black only
    - Best wear resistance​
    5. Polished and clear powder coat

    Erik, what would the difference between the clear anodized, and the clear powder coat?

    Anodizing is an electrochemical process that changes the surface structure similar to "plating". Powdercoating is basicly a baked on paint.

    well just do them raw let everyone do there on finish of choice that way

    I think it would depend on the look I'm going for on that build. I prefer polished and cleared but anodizing in a color would be cool too.

    plus raw would pass on savings to everyone and get them out quicker
