Check this link out: http://www.force-efi.com/price.htm I assume they will modify any intake for any engine (customer supplied). At $3250, NOT cheap, but it appears to be a port fuel injection system, as opposed to TBI.
www.sdsefi.com has many options and not all are terribly expensive. If I remember correctly the most basic sytem was a little over $375. but the V8 would need more injectors. Done as a TBI would be cheapest. Would take some thought but perhaps combined with the aluminum single 4-bbl intake( not exactly a single 4 but not multiple carbs either!) There is a system that is a build it yourself stand alone controller that would be the best to use, called megasquirt( X-rated site) Please use the name in a search for DIY fuel injection kits. Sorry for the link, just look for the name. I think but not sure and that could be the answer to better power and efficiency, I also think it can be done as a tpi system. Got an electronics guy here?
well for a cheap efi setup a megasquirt system, 8 quad 4 injectors, efi pump and gas tank mods, drilled 4 barrell intake, 2 fuel rails, and a auto-nomics throttle body, hei dist, and wiring. under 1k for a a efi set up
