And you are right . the Buick wheels are much nicer. Down here I have seen them on Chevy pick-up trucks and chevy impalas . Not to mention Pontiacs and Oldsmobubbles .

With big rims it's all about the stance

17s with stock ride height may look alright, but have a dash of donk at certain angles

Theirs a chevelle on pro-tour that did 22s rear and 20 up front
We all thought it would look garbage, me included
Bit he pulled it off due to the suspension stance/ride height

On my cars I'll have 18s rear 27 fronts
You need to atleast close the gap between top of tire to panel lip.
Rear quarter lip at same height as top of tire revealing no empty space between is ideal
Same goes for front, but most perfer the rim lil to be around same level as the fender lip

PS been really absent from this forum..been buickless too long I guess and shifted to autogeek/autopia and mobile detailing

Got any pics? Id like to see that. And I agree, I would like the top of my tires to be even with the wheel opening.

I like my Electra with the 17''... But for me this is the absolute maximum.. Otherwise it just dont fit correct to the car.
I have selected the 17'', so that the Wheel diameter stays the same and there is no rubbing and the odometer is still correct.

I took the car out tonight with the 20s on it. Then I took my 73 out with the stock wheels and tires. Its quite noticeable and I dont think its good for the car, it feels like Im jolting everything with every bump. Ive decided to sell these infernal rims and take the money and buy some nice 15" wheels and tires, how much do you think I could get for these rims? They are Maas 54 20x9 with ok condition cooper cobra 245/40/20. Id like to find some 15x7 or 15x8 steelies that will take the standard econo caps.

Looks like it escaped the circus or is doing it's best covered-wagon impression. Hideous.

I don't hate the look of all larger wheels (although I hate how they ride), but I am of the opinion that if it needs a lift...don't.

:Dou: absolutely hate it. Pure stupidity. I hear the poor car crying to be saved from the humiliation. Lets evaluate. Decreases handling, more prone to road damage, accelerated brake wear, looks ridiculous, costs stupid money and decreases resale value. Yup pure stupidity.
