So went with some aftermarket wheels. I’m sure some will hate this but I think they look sweet.

If you like them, then that is all that counts. Personally, I will stick to stock wheels. Different strokes for different folks.

They got that old school Cragar look. I like them.

I like the wheel but personally would want more tire and less rim.

These are 22x8.5 up front and 22x9.5 on the rear. If I could do it over I would of put 20x8x5 on the front. I love the look of the rear wheel with the skirt. I can’t understand why so many folks remove the skirts on the less cars.

Kind of look like modern torque thrust D's.
You won't have much cushion with those short sidewalls.....

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

I like the style of the wheels, very tasteful. I just prefer a bit more rubber between the rim and the road.

Not my cup of tea but it's your car, and a beauty at that, so you do what pleases you. It doesn't look like you needed to hack up the body so no harm done.

Hope you have nice smooth roads where you live because you wouldn't get five miles on the crappy roads in New England with those skinny tires :)

    Cheers!

Folks here are really polite and respectful. The response surprised me.

I totally agree re the skirts!

Car is most definitely a rare find, 2 owners and the second owner was the Buick salesman that sold it to the first owner.

Love the skirts. '67 Skylark w/skirts has great lines in any body style.

Not my style. I like to see a lot of rubber on classic cars, however on my daily driver (2020 Audi) the rims cant be big enough. But as already stated above, it is your car and if you see the beauty, that is all what counts.

Skirts are classy! Wheels are awfully big - so little rubber there Ride quality will surely suffer.

Maybe an 18 front and 20 rear using tallest tire possible. But, your to do as you please and its easy to change to something else if need be
